Lauretta
The film shows the emotional challenges of becoming an adult through a mother-daughter relationship. The protagonist of the story comes from the suburban middle class: Lauretta is an overweight and endlessly shy cashier whose life is determined by her mother’s deceases besides her work. When not struggling with the weirdo buyers of the hypermarket, she’s at home helping her mother. Her former strong desire to break our has been long buried in herself, she takes the role without a word, that has given to her. Besides rediscovering music, her life is capsized when her mother is taken to a hosiptal and the two things make a big change in Lauretta.
